Hello,

a bit about me:

Dr. Brittany Dernberger is a friendly Midwesterner who lived in Washington, DC for nearly a decade and now calls the mountains of West Virginia home. Brittany earned her M.P.A. in Nonprofit Management from Grand Valley State University and obtained her PhD in Sociology from University of Maryland, where she studied gender, jobs, and economic inequality. Her research has been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Hill, and Ms. Magazine. Brittany currently leads global initiatives to measure systems-level solutions that address the root causes of gender inequality at CARE, provides public education about the orgasm gap and other gender hot topics, and supports clients through her consulting practice

She regularly teaches college courses and has been an affiliate faculty member at several universities. Previously, Brittany supported sexual assault research at the U.S. Department of Defense and led evaluation at the Steelcase Foundation. In 2021, she provided direct research consultation to President Biden’s Independent Review Commission on Sexual Assault in the Military.
